Event Coordinator (Temp-to-Hire, On-Site)

Pay: $20-$24/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time, on-site San Diego
Status: Temp-to-hire

We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to support the planning and execution of school events and field trips. This role requires a background in event coordination, strong technical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of school events and field trips
  • Manage event logistics, timelines, and on-site support
  • Create and manage online RSVP forms and registrations
  • Maintain event calendars and track attendance
  • Communicate event details, updates, and reminders to staff and families
  • Attend events to assist with setup, check-in, and coordination
  • Take photos at events for internal or promotional use
  • Assist with vendor communication, contracts, and basic expense tracking
  • Update event information using digital communication and website platforms

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of event coordinator or event management experience required
  • Strong technical skills with event systems, online forms, calendars, and databases
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
  • Strong organization, communication, and time-management skills
